Hi! I am Mengxin (pronounced as 'məŋ' 'ɕin', spelled in IPA). I am an Assistant Professor at the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas.
I completed my Ph.D. in the IEOR Department at UC Berkeley, advised by Prof. Zuo-Jun (Max) Shen. Before that, I received a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University.
I use algorithm and data to make better decisions for business, with applications in the online marketplace, intelligent supply chain and logistics systems. I am also broadly interested in machine learning and its application in operations management.
